This is a guide of Monitor fixtures. The fixtures are separated into 2 categories. One is the panel styles, and one is the button/lantern/position indicator styles.
Panel Styles
Monitor
This is Monitor's traditional panel design. It can use TR, PC, or HPS buttons, and can be stainless steel or brass. The indicator is a 16 segment display.
PEP
This is Monitor's pre engineered design. It can use TR, or PC buttons, and can only be stainless steel. It can be told apart from Monitor Monitor panels, because it has a dot matrix indicator. These fixtures were first made around 2005, no later than early 2006.
Landmark
These fixtures have a traditional design, and a braille surrounding the buttons. It can use TR, PC, or HPS buttons, and can be stainless steel or brass. These fixtures were first made in late 2010.
Vanguard
These fixtures have a traditional design. It uses BAS90 stainless steel buttons, and can only be stainless steel. These fixtures were first made in 2011-2012.
Pinnacle
These fixtures have a diamond shape on the top and bottom of the panels, and 3 stacked layers, of 3 sizes. It can use TR, PC, or HPS buttons, and can be stainless steel or brass.
Executive
These fixtures have notched corners, and black lines around the edges. It can use TR, PC, or HPS buttons, and can be stainless steel or brass.
Imperial
These fixtures have a smaller than panel circle at the top and bottom of the panel. It can use TR, PC, or HPS buttons, and can be stainless steel or brass.
Ambassador
These fixtures have a metal line around the edges, and lines in the panel, and some circles. It can use TR, PC, or HPS buttons, and can be stainless steel or brass.
Cosmopolitan
These fixtures have a round shape on the top and bottom of the panels, and 3 stacked layers, of 3 sizes. The panel gets narrower at the bottom. It can use TR, PC, or HPS buttons, and can be stainless steel or brass.
Matrix
These fixtures have 2/3 lines around the edges. The panel gets narrower at the bottom. It can use TR, PC, or HPS buttons, and can be stainless steel or brass.
Buttons/Lanterns/Position Indicators
1970s & 1980s
In the 1970s and 1980s, Monitor made fixtures that looked very similar to GAL Jet Plus and EPCO Halo-Line fixtures, either black halo and white button, or white square halo and black button. Some buttons that were made included round buttons with round halo, or round buttons with square halo. In the nomenclature of these buttons, the first letter represented the button, the second letter represented the halo, and the third letter represented the shape.
WBR=White round button with black round halo.
BWR=Black round button with white round halo.
WBS=White round button with square black halo.
BWS=Black round button with square white halo.
TR
This is a round stainless steel/brass button that lights up. There is the TR1000 button with a 1" diameter, the TR1100 button with a 1 1/8" diameter, the TR1200 button with a 1 1/4" diameter, and the TR1300 button with a 1 3/8" diameter. TR1100 buttons can also have a halo. There is also the TR1500 button, which is shaped like a Dewhurst US89 button. The buttons can be flat, rounded edges, or domed. The light can be incandescent or LED. Some Monitor TR hall station buttons can have arrows on them that light up, but this is no longer an option.
PC
This is a round plastic button that lights up. It looks similar to Epco Circleline fixtures. The full model number is PC1040. The light can be incandescent or LED.
HPS
This is a round stainless steel/brass positive stop button that lights up. It looks similar to Adams Survivor Plus fixtures. The full model number is HPS1300. The light can be incandescent or LED. This button was first made in 2003-2004.
BA590
This is a round stainless steel button with a halo that lights up blue, and a braille that surrounds the button. This button was first made in 2011-2012.
