- Not to be confused with another Swiss elevator manufacturer with the same name (they're also a distributor of Kone products in Ticino and Italian-speaking parts of Graubünden.)
Falconi was an elevator manufacturer from Novara, Italy that existed from the 1890s until in the mid 1980s.
History
Falconi was founded by Giuseppie Falconi in 1890. During that time the company produced steam-driven elevators, observation, tower elevators, and inclined elevators. The company also manufactured paternosters with their chain of cabins and goods and passenger lifts for ships.[1] They also exported their elevators to France, Hong Kong, and also Lebanon. In 1984, Falconi was acquired by Otis[2] and subsequently defunct. Meanwhile, the French subsidiary had already been sold to Kone in 1972.
