After acquiring Johns Perry Lifts in the late 1980s, Boral continued to use Johns Perry Lifts' square buttons and LED floor indicators throughout the late 1980s.

1990s to 1995

In the 1990s, the square buttons were redesigned by Boral to look larger and clearer with plastic lens and sometimes, with a black halo.

Some elevators use newer rectangular, white plastic buttons with black halo and lit in red which looked like Kone M-Series and Montgomery Series 220 buttons. The floor indicators were also slightly redesigned to look simpler and the LED dot-matrix were enlarged.
